Welcome To Stepps Surgery

Caduceus Medical LogoThe Stepps Surgery website provides many online facilities. It contains a vast range of health information and resources, along with practical information on visiting the surgery. We hope you find the website useful and informative.

About our practice

Stepps Surgery is a medical partnership. The partners are Dr Sean Kennedy, Dr Karen Hopkins, and Dr Emily Owen who are all medically qualified GP principals, and Sister Maura Kennedy who is a nurse practitioner and also the practice manager.

Stepps Surgery is not a training nor a teaching practice.

We pride ourselves on our availability. We constantly monitor availability of free appointments trying to ensure an adequate supply of routine and on-the-day appointments.

We also always aim to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. Access is obviosly a key feature in the provision of quality of care. We also use a range of other measures including QOF scores (the achievement of quality points, built into the GP contract); patient satisfaction surveys; and the practice vaccination and screening uptake rates.

With many people deciding the new year is a good time to try to change their habits, one of the big reasons for not continuing is that the change is too great. On average, a change becomes a habit after 66 days, so try to make your changes achievable over the long term. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/realistic-new-years-resolutions
